It takes the combined efforts of parents and teachers to achieve success in the provision of education. A community that is directly involved in the education of their children produces great leaders who are responsible citizens.
At BHS, it is our aim to create such, and we recognise that we need to work together with parents. It is for this reason the Parents Teachers Association (PTA) was established. This association is an avenue for parents and teachers to share and exchange information, deliberate on matters affecting the children and the school as well as implementing various school projects.
All parents and guardians are default members of the General Assembly. This session, Executives were elected to further assist to push the objectives of the association. Also, we have Class representatives to aid better communication with members of the General Assembly.
The Executives include:
Mrs Evelyn Godstime - Chairperson
Mr Yaya Sule - Vice Chairperson
Mrs Ufuoma Alile - Secretary
Mrs Oluwakemi Oyelakin - Assistant Secretary
Mr Dada - Public Relations Officer
Mrs Angela Stephen-Eze- Assistant Relations Officer
Mrs Olabiyi Osho - Financial Secretary
Mr Victor Olusan - Treasurer
Mrs Chikama Ajunwa - Welfare coordinator
This committee meets to plan events and activities for the school. Some of the events include: Parents Meet and Greet , the annual Christmas carnival etc.
The General Assembly meets once every term to deliberate on important decisions or proposals by the executives. This assembly is open to everyone and we welcome new faces and new ideas.
The school is immensely grateful for the invaluable help of the PTA and we hope that every parent lend their support.
