As part of a formal method of taking young children’s views into considerations, the school introduced the School Council in 2016/ 2017 Academic session.

Unlike the prefects that are exclusively nominated and selected by the Teachers, School Council members are chosen democratically from each class by the children. The position is open for anybody to apply. After which, there are campaigns for a period of two weeks, followed by the manifestos  by the candidates, then primaries for the final two candidates to will via for the position. Finally, on the Election Day all members of the class cast their votes in an open ballot system to determine who will represent them.

Upon elected, they are trained, inaugurated and given their badges.

They work with some members of staff to organise programmes and events. Some of which includes Assembly on Child Rights, Bullying in School, Bake and Sale, Movie time and the community  service to the less privileged in the community.
